RICHMOND, Va. — RediClinic on Nov. 27announced that it has teamed with Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell to address the importance of flu prevention during National Influenza Vaccination Week.

As part of the partnership, McDonnell received his flu shot Tuesday morning at the RediClinic located inside the Forest Hill Avenue Wal-Mart Supercenter.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has designated Nov. 27 through Dec. 2 as National Influenza Vaccination Week in an effort to highlight the importance of continuing influenza vaccination, as well as foster greater use of flu vaccine through the months of November, December and beyond.

“Receiving a flu vaccination is the single, most effective way to avoid getting the flu, and we are pleased that Attorney General McDonnell received his vaccination at a RediClinic in support of this important public health effort,” stated Web Golinkin, chief executive officer of RediClinic. “Although the flu season is already underway, there is still time to get vaccinated, and you can’t beat the convenience and affordability of RediClinic.”
